20 000 Logements Cité Ouédo with Koffi et Diabate
In order to strengthen the supply of economic housing in 12 cities in Benin, the 20,000 social and economic housing projects presented a new model of urban planning. The program offers solutions adapted to the local context, with the notion of a green environment at the heart of the approach. With 5 typologies ranging from collective buildings to individual houses, all units meet the basic notions of passive architecture (ventilated and bright spaces, collection of gray water to supply green spaces, in particular). My contribution as project manager manifested in overseeing the concept design phase as well as tender and launching construction. I am most proud of my input in the master planning, integrating local lifestyles like kiosk vender integrated to the streets, facilitating daily life.
